The Saw
Grief is a peculiar animal that seemingly has a mind of its own. A few moments ago I was thinking about how my emotions go back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. It reminds me of the motions that one would use with a hand saw. Let me share what I mean:
Handsaw:Use a 3 finger grip for better control
Grief:Use a 3 finger grip for better control: Hold on to God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit
Handsaw:Keep it light; pushing too hard is counterproductive
Grief: Keep it light; pushing too hard is counterproductive: some days you feel like crying; some days you want to reminisce and laugh about certain memories; other days you may not know how you feel or what you want to do. Guess what? I’ve learned that it’s okay! Just keep moving forward at your own customized pace.
Handsaw:Vary your strokes for a clean finish
Grief:Vary your strokes for a clean finish. The Holy Spirit may impress you to speak to a friend or even a stranger; you may be impressed to talk to a counselor or a pastor; you may be impressed to write about your emotions which can be freeing. The important thing is that you keep moving forward and at your own pace for a clean finish.
“The Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.”’ Numbers 6:26

Hopeless life, but omnipotent God
Sometimes in life we feel shattered and despondent , like the walls are caving in. And we think what will our fate be, because everything has gone down the tubes. What new depths of calamity and misery shall befall us? It is in these moments of abject hopelessness, when we are ready to give up, that everything aligns and we see the grander plan. Sometimes the broken road is meant to rid of us of what we thought we needed, to bring us into state of complete pliability to prod us along to our God designed and ordained destiny.
Other times life just doesn’t make sense, and we feel worn and torn and no answers are in sight. Sometimes the loud clanging of in the midst of struggle cloud our vision , and we feel the unyielding barrage of the stress that comes in wave after wave . We tremble in fear at the tumultuous futile future that seems to loom in our horizon. At these times when life is murky with no rhyme or reason , we must cling to “oh, how he loves us.” We must cling to the fact that , “So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the LORD your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you.” Deuteronomy 31:6 NLT Always remember , who goes before you, and who stands behind you , the God of angel armies will always be by your side. 2 Kings 6:8-23
Life must endure and go on
IF I COUld TURN BACK THE HANDS OF TIME!!! Too often we get stuck in this rut, and it inhibits us from proceeding into the future. We must push forward , and not get bogged down in the shoulda woulda couldas.

You never get past it, but work through it
From Nightfall to Morning Light
Living past tragedy doesn’t mean you forgot what was lost , but rather you use the memory as motivation to thrive and live for the future

Hope keeps us buoyant
Hope is the life raft upon which we float and persevere, though the ship maybe sinking.

Learning to be
Too often than not in life, we find ourselves allowing the tragedy of our existence to shackle and bar us from the that the incomprehensible future that the father longs to build upon the ashes of your past.
